Resident Evil has had its shares of ups and downs over the years, but ever since the disappointing releases of both Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6 in 2012, the franchise has been in serious need of an overhaul. It’s taken a long time, but Capcom is finally set to push the reset button with the release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which represents a dramatic shift for the series as a whole. Rather than continue with the action-heavy gameplay and cheesy narratives of more recent entries, RE7 is looking to return the series to its survival horror roots with a more grounded approach to enemy design and a dramatic switch to first-person perspective. read more

The Nintendo Switch has officially been unveiled and based on the fact that initial pre-orders sold out pretty much everywhere, it’s safe to say that the console will be a hit when it launches on March 3rd.
