The wait for Shenmue 3 just got quite a bit longer.

These days, A.J. Styles is known as one of the best wrestlers in the world. But 15 years ago he was basically jobbing to people like Gregory “The Hurricane” Helms on WWE Metal, the company’s now-defunct Saturday afternoon show, in a try-out match. Even then, though, he was announced as A.J. Styles.
In their Pokémon-focused Nintendo Direct this morning, Nintendo announced that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon will be coming out this fall for the 3DS only and not the Nintendo Switch like many had expected.
The PlayStation 4 has been a huge success for Sony, with global game development boss Shawn Layden recently telling TIME that the console has sold-through 60 million units worldwide, making it the fastest-selling PlayStation console yet. That being said, the PS4 is still missing some key features in some gamers’ eyes, most notably any sort of true backwards compatibility (PlayStation Now is a half-measure at best). Microsoft earned a ton of goodwill with the introduction of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on the Xbox One two years ago, but Sony never followed suit with a solution of their own.
With all the focus put on Nintendo and the overnight success of the company’s Switch console in the first half of 2017, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that Sony has quietly been having a successful year with its PlayStation division. The PlayStation 4 in particular continues to be a hot seller, with close to 60 million units sold worldwide since its launch in November 2013.
Despite all the rumors to the contrary, Kenny Omega didn’t up leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling and making the jump to the WWE when his contract expired in early 2017. Instead he remained with NJPW, as leader of the Bullet Club, and put on an all-time great match with Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 11.
In a curious case of strange booking, the WWE put their most important championship, the Universal Title from Raw, around the waist of Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. Having Lesnar be a champion isn’t the problem — he’s a very worthy (and marketable) superstar. The weird thing here is that Lesnar only works on a part-time contract, good for a limited number of appearances and matches every year.
After months of teasingly mentioning that more news would be coming, Nintendo finally revealed some details about the online service for the Nintendo Switch.
When it comes to video games, Nintendo is the oldest player in town and I mean that quite literally. The company entered the industry in the 1970s, but has actually been around for more than 125 years, beginning life as a card and toy manufacturer long before making the jump to video games. Any company with that kind of longevity is bound to have some fascinating history behind it and Nintendo is no exception, to the point where an entire book was written about their competition with Sega in the early 90s. Still, there’s much more to the company’s history than one console war and I’ve collected 20 fascinating bits of trivia about the company and its games that you can pull out at the next party you go to and alienate yourself from everyone in the room (just kidding!).
