Never Alone Developers Swapping Icy Tundras for Endless Sandboxing

From Inuit mythology to moddable floatillas, developer E-Line media has certainly dipped its feet into an entirely different sort of pond in The Endless Mission. Unlike the artcic puzzle-platforming of 2014’s Never Alone, this is a sandbox creation title that lets players get into the nitty gritty of game development: modifying game assets in real time to alter gameplay, mashing up different genres, and earning Unity-based tools which allow you to mock up your wildest imaginings into a shareable experience. BAFTA Winners of 2018 Announced

Drumroll, please. This year’s list of BAFTA Award winning games is officially out, and indeed, while the usual suspects have gone home with multiple accolades — Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice picked up five awards, Super Mario Odyssey scored two and both Breath of the Wild and Cuphead received praise for achievement in game innovation and music — the black horse of the BAFTA’s was What Remains of Edith Finch, which swiped best game of 2017. Abstract puzzler Gorogoa also picked up the award for best debut game, so in that regard, it’s definitely a huge victory for indies. Read on below for the complete list of champions. read more
