Bungie drops Activision deal to self-publish Destiny

Bungie is dropping its existing partnership with Activision in order to self-publish Destiny. The developer says the transition is “already underway in its early stages, with Bungie and Activision both committed to making sure the handoff is as seamless as possible.” Bungie’s immediate plans for Destiny 2 updates remain unchanged, and the game will remain on Battle.net. read more

Microsoft and AMD Announce Partnership for “Future Platforms”

The CES 2019 has been pretty fruitful so far, with a lot of technological demonstrations and new trailers released showcasing the new graphical components studios use to impress their playerbase. One of the more interesting announcements was Xbox boss Phil Spencer taking center-stage alongside Dr. Lisa Su during AMD’s opening keynote and revealing their partnership for “future platforms.” Of course, considering AMD’s new 3rd Generation Ryzen processors and Radeon VII graphics card announcements, this is a very good sign for what Microsoft’s future platforms can have in terms of raw and graphical power. read more
