Pennsylvania lawmakers have put forward a bill that would introduce an additional 10% tax on violent videogames. The money raised by the so-called “sin tax” would go to a fund called the “Digital Protection for School Safety Account,” in an attempt to raise security measures to help prevent school shootings.

Nvidia is publishing a book on real-time ray tracing. Ray Tracing Gems will be available as a hardback from mid-March, just in time for GDC and GTC, with an eye to educate developers on the concept of ray tracing – the “holy grail of graphics tech”. Players will take on the role of a Freelancer, an elite task force member that can explore the open world. However, in order to do so, Freelancer’s will require the use of a Javelin. Since this games announcement, there has been plenty of interest from players and fans of BioWare’s previous works.
The Nintendo Switch is doing quite well for Nintendo especially in comparison to its previous console platform release, the Nintendo Wii U. It was clear that Nintendo needed a win and after the announcement along with its launch, there was no worries over if the Nintendo Switch had enough gamers interested in the console. This was a new hybrid console from Nintendo that allowed gamers to not only enjoy the latest video game titles from Nintendo and third-party developers on their home television but also it could be taken on-the-go. Thanks to the portability option for the Nintendo Switch, it seemed Nintendo developed a real winner for their latest console platform release, but there are still plenty of gamers out there who have yet to adopt the platform.
Gamers waited for years before Square Enix finally released the third main installment to the Kingdom Hearts franchise and best of all when the game released, it became available for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
