PUBG Receives PC Matchmaking and Quick Join Improvements; Update #27 Goes Live on Test Servers, Adding New Weapon and More

PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds on PC always suffered from matchmaking issues here and there, with waiting times, connectivity, and infinite queueing when selecting certain maps. Samsung announces HBM2 capable of 410GB/s bandwidth from a single 16GB chip

Samsung has announced its latest, third-generation HBM2 (second-gen high bandwidth memory) at GTC 2019, which it calls Flashbolt. Capable of 3.2Gb/s transfer speeds and capacity up to 16GB in a single stack, Samsung’s HBM2E memory dwarfs previous generations of HBM2 memory, and makes even the AMD Radeon VII’s quad-stack 16GB HBM2 running at 2Gb/s seem rather civilian by comparison. read more

Rami Ismail tells Valve “sucks to be you” over Epic store exclusives

Nuclear Throne developer Rami Ismail says that Valve was simply “out-businessed” over Metro Exodus’ move from Steam to the Epic Games store. In an interview with PCGamesN at Yorkshire Games Festival (which we’ll be publishing in full later today), the Vlambeer co-founder made fun of Valve’s statement, which said that the game’s move was “unfair” to consumers. read more
