While there have been several attempts at making a cinematic film based on a video game franchise, few ever capture the essence that made the video games popular. It’s a difficult task to do as video game titles take several hours to unfold the story and some of the fine details of a narrative is dropped to reach the intended run time of a film. However, there is some promise in an Uncharted film actually taking off and doing well. The video game titles from the series are typically viewed as a cinematic experience and they’ve all done well in terms of the narrative.

John Wick Hex will have a replay function to let you see your strategic murder in real time, but it won’t let you direct the action as you’re playing. You won’t have fine control over the camera as you’re playing, since the wider angle the game adopts is better for making strategic decisions – but it’s not out of the question that this “choreography game” could become a “director game” down the line.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most anticipated video game titles releasing this coming year. There’s been plenty of hype building up for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming video game and for good reason. This is the first new mainline game coming off of The Witcher trilogy and from the gameplay footage shown so far, the title looks to be quite ambitious. Best of all, even though we are gearing up for the release of next-generation video game consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 is confirmed to be a current-generation platform release. Now it’s been a while since we got any new footage publicly for the video game, but that’s going to change here soon.
If you’ve been looking for a mobile place to house your Elite Dangerous ships, the game’s upcoming Fleet Carriers have promised to allow exactly that. The latest update for Minecraft: Java Edition adds what Mojang calls “a large bug” – but don’t worry, it’s just an adorable honey bee. The new mobs are spawning as of the 19W34A snapshot, and they open up a whole bunch of possibilities for collecting honey and building a bee-powered farm.
We’ve seen a ton of flack thrown towards Epic Games Store, a competing marketplace against the Valve behemoth, Steam. It’s a new up-and-comer into the market that’s making a big push towards gathering a larger user base through the likes of striking up deals for timed video game exclusives. This may sway some gamers to the Epic Games Store, but there are still plenty who write video game titles off until they are released into the Steam marketplace. There is another means to sway gamers onto the Epic Games Store and that’s with free weekly video game titles.
The Epic Games Store has received plenty of hate from the online gaming community. It’s a big competitor against Valve’s Steam platform though it does not offer as many bells and whistles. That’s to be expected as it’s still new into the market and Epic Games is continuing to make updates adding more features into the marketplace platform. With that said, Epic Games is trying to give players some incentive in downloading their marketplace platform storefront and using it. For 2019, Epic Games Store is offering free video game titles each week.
The Epic Games store launched back in December with three exclusive games. One of those titles was Hades, Supergiant’s follow-up to wonderful games like Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, which has been in early access ever since. The studio originally announced the game would only come to other platforms once early access was complete, but it looks like the Steam version is coming a bit sooner than that.
