Bungie’s portfolio features the historical Halo franchise and more recently, Destiny. Both of which are outstanding titles, and performed very successfully on the market.

Blizzard’s been famous for many things over the years, and one of those things is its melodramatic but oh-so lovable cinematics. The studio will soon release an art book covering the first decade of World of Warcraft cinematics – up through Warlords of Draenor – so now that the Reckoning cinematic is upon us, now’s the perfect time to catch up.
This generation of platforms saw a big push to cloud gaming. With streaming services like PlayStation Now and the upcoming Google Stadia, the need for hardware is dwindling down whereas, with streaming services, all that is mainly required is a stable internet connection. Sony’s PlayStation Now is a cloud gaming streaming service that got its start back in 2014 where subscribers can gain access to select PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 video game titles on both the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms.
Life is Strange 2 is nearing its conclusion, and it’s safe to say that the series has made no efforts to avoid serious political and social themes in its depiction of Mexican-American kids in the modern US landscape. While big publishers like Ubisoft mine inherently political settings while avoiding statements, Dontnod has been able to take its own ideas seriously.
Fallout is a rather massive video game franchise. It’s been around for years and Bethesda is still bringing out new installments into the market. Their latest being Fallout 76, an online-only MMO with players tasked in building up civilization, shortly after the war. Still, there is plenty of fans who are eager to jump either back into the Wasteland with a new installment or replay one of the several games released in the past. Now a new collection was unveiled through a leak by Amazon which will come with six video game titles included.
Crossplay is something that’s been available for a little while now, but the PlayStation 4 platform has been lacking. It was something considered to be in beta allowing for select video game titles to enjoy crossplay, but now the service feature is finally opening up for developers to have access with. Now it won’t matter what console or platform you enjoy video game titles with as you can soon enjoy gameplay with friends who may be running a game on a competitor console system. This announcement came from the Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO, Jim Ryan, while he was speaking with Wired.

Ninja is a worldwide famed streamer that’s been known for his Fortnite gameplay streams. However, it was earlier this year that we got the surprise announcement of his departure from Twitch, arguably the biggest streaming platform in the world. While Ninja has confirmed that he would be dropping Twitch, it came with the announcement that he would be moving to Mixer, Microsoft’s streaming service competitor. With fewer viewers and a relatively new service still in the market, most would have assumed that Ninja opted to make the transition for a large sum of money, but that’s not the case.
Destiny has had plenty of ups and downs over the years, and the downs have regularly led to the internet’s favourite gaming meme: that Destiny is a ‘dead game.’ But while the latest chapter is still perfecting the formula – check out our Shadowkeep review for more on that – Bungie’s shooter has quietly claimed the number two spot in its genre.
