Cross-play is always a topic of discussion in the gaming industry. Some even argue it is not beneficial to all multiplayer titles, especially those where different platforms’ controllers give an advantage to their players over other platforms. PUBG is the latest battle royale title to join the console cross-platform list.

Techland’s sequel to the open-world survival title, Dying Light, was revealed last year during E3 2018. Since then, everything we saw or heard from the developers indicates it is bigger and better than ever.
Announced back in E3 2018, DOOM Eternal follows up on the events of 2016’s DOOM. It is your time to save Earth from demonic forces, again. The title marks the fifth main entry in the DOOM franchise.
Gears 5 released a little over a month ago to critical acclaim and fans’ delight. However, the game’s multiplayer content is running thin, and players are starting to complain due to the lack of new content to get their hands on to and grind-y events.
The Last of Us Part II continues to blow us away with every trailer and gameplay we see of the upcoming sequel. The most noted comment was how seamless everything looks, transitioning from gameplay into cutscenes with almost no effort whatsoever.
A sequel to Rockstar Games’s 2006 title Bully – or Canis Canem Edit as it was bizarrely known in the studio’s native UK- has long been rumoured, as it’s a fairly beloved game from a definitely beloved developer. Despite a recent tease in the latest online expansion for Grand Theft Auto 5, we still appear to be no closer to getting a Bully 2 than PC owners are to the original Red Dead Redemption.
Last month Frogwares, the developer of The Sinking City and Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, announced that it was in talks with Focus Home Interactive – which published many of the studio’s games prior to The Sinking City, including the most recent Sherlock Holmes game. The talks were to do with keeping Frogwares’ games on storefronts such as Steam, now that the developer had left Focus and the IP for those games had reverted back to them.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is out now, and the reviews have already started trickling in – slower than you might expect for such a major game as the sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands. This is probably due to it being such a massive online game – there’s certainly a lot to see.

Call of Duty: Mobile – the long-overdue free-to-play mobile game spin-off of the franchise – launched on Android and iOS last Monday, October 1. We already knew it was going to be popular beforehand – apart from the fact that it’s the enormously popular Call of Duty series going properly on mobile, analyst Daniel Ahmad noted that it had over 16 million pre-registrations in China. This is despite the fact that it had, at the time, not yet been approved for release there.
