The ByteBeat is a full audio application, complete with sequencer, advanced waveform editor, and controls to sync your music up with in-game light shows.

Star Wars: Battlefront II gets a whole host of new Rise of Skywalker-inspired content ahead of the film’s release later this week, but you’re going to have to wait a few extra days to see the new map. The update mostly launches on December 17, but the as-yet-unnamed new planet will go live on December 20, so as not to spoil the content before the film is out.
Corsair is set to acquire high-end controller manufacturer, SCUF Gaming, bringing it into the ever-expanding Corsair family of companies. It will continue to exist as a separate entity, operating out of its own HQ, much in the same was as other recent acquiree Origin PC.

There’s no doubt creating a near-constant stream of YouTube content all year round can be pretty hard work, and it looks like it might be taking its toll on one of the platform’s highest profile creators. YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has said he will be taking a hiatus from the video sharing site early in 2020, saying he’s “feeling very tired.”
The key to a quick and cheap 7nm product launch for Intel is to take a leaf out of AMD’s book. Over at the Global TMT conference, Murthy Reduchintala, Intel’s chief engineering officer (among numerous other titles), told investors and analysts that roughly 50% of its processor R&D budget is spent on updating non-core logic to the latest process node, and that this has to change in order to ramp up effectively.
