Fortnite Fans Pay Tribute to Chadwick Boseman at the Game’s Black Panther Statue

The Fortnite map now has a Black Panther statue, and fans are visiting the site to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, following the actor’s passing last weekend. The statue, known as Panther’s Prowl, is one of several Marvel monuments added to the map since last week’s Season 4 update. It can be found near Misty Meadows. In tribute to the actor, many fans are snapping pictures with the statue, and Reddit user TheRazoredEdge shared a video of two players refusing to fight near it. Given the impact Boseman’s death seems to have had on people around the world, it certainly seems like a nice way for some to honor his passing. read more


Scourgebringer slashes and dashes out of early access this month

Oh, we didn’t forget about you, Scourgebringer. After seven months of hacking and slashing and gravity-defying leaps in the bowels of an otherworldly labyrinth, Khyra is aiming her sword straight at a release date later this month. This week’s new trailer may claim “the ordeal is coming to an end”, but I reckon the bloodshed is just waiting to be cranked into full gear. read more


Mortal Kombat 11 Director Shares Cryptic New Tease

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath creative director Ed Boon has shared a short, cryptic tease about the “future” of MK11 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. Whether this tease involves DLC characters, next-gen versions of the game, or something less consequential, is anyone’s best guess. Like always, Boon is purposefully vague, though his follow-up tweet may offer some further clarification. read more
