Update: Sony have now pulled the trailer and told Kotaku that Demon’s Souls is in fact not coming to PC and other consoles. “Human error” is to blame for that information being in the trailer, they say. WELP.
Everyone loves the Halo 3 rat now, for reasons that are not entirely clear. But love him we must, and that’s particularly true now that there’s a Halo 3 mod for The Master Chief Collection that turns Halo 3’s usually hot-dog sized rat into a Subaru-sized battle tank or combat aircraft.
Sony’s latest PlayStation event kicked off on Wednesday, unveiling some long-awaited details regarding the PlayStation 5 and the various games that will be on it. One of the most buzzed-about titles set to hit the PS5 will be Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a new follow-up to Insomniac’s hit Spider-Man game. In addition to some breathtaking new footage – including the first look at gameplay – fans got more details surrounding the game’s release later this year. Perhaps the biggest detail was that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on November 12th, the launch day of the PS5. In addition, it was revealed that the title will also be available on the PS4 on launch day, as well as the PS5.
Capcom showed off another trailer for the next Resident Evil game during today’s PlayStation 5 showcase and yup, it’s sure creepy. Resident Evil Village is sending Ethan and Mia off to a not so peaceful life in a less than idyllic village. It looks like their new retreat is chock full of occult drawings, rituals, and big, blue werewolves.
Demon’s Souls was the finale for the PlayStation Showcase today, showing off its overhauled visuals and sound in spectacular form. The best part, from our perspective at least, was a tiny bit of text at the very end of the trailer that says the Demon’s Souls remake is coming to PC.
PlayStation 5 price and release date are out and after years of speculating about everything, fans all around the world can finally breathe free after Sony revealed that PlayStation 5 will be priced at $449 for the disk version and $399 for the digital version.
Time loop FPS Deathloop debuted a new trailer during today’s PlayStation 5 showcase to introduce a few of those assassination targets you’ll be setting out to put in the ground. Your protagonist Colt has eight total targets to deal with if he wants to break out of the time loop affecting Blackreef, an island broken up into districts a bit like Dunwall of Arkane’s previous Dishonored. The new trailer introduces two of the ill-fated targets.
Update: The Demon’s Souls trailer has been made private by PlayStation for some reason. We’ve added the trailer below from GameSpot Trailers in its place.
It turns out that Final Fantasy 14’s producer Naoki Yoshida is working on the next Final Fantasy game. The Square Enix vet poured cold water on rumours he was directing Final Fantasy 16 earlier this year, calling it “big fake news” (thanks, RPG Site). Well, he technically wasn’t kidding around because he’s producing the upcoming PC game, and not directing it. That joy goes to Hiroshi Takai.
