PlayStation 5 is launching November 12th


Alrighty then, lads and germs: we have the starts of our next console generation confirmed. Sony tonight announced the PlayStation 5 will launch November 12th in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, then November 19th for the rest of the world. That’s two days after the Xbox Series X, launching November 10th. The regular PS5 will cost £450/€500/$500 and it’s £360/€400/$400 for a ‘Digital Edition’ without a disc drive. This might not mean much to us on PC at first, unless you’re buying a PS5 too of course, but new consoles will have many consequences for us over years to come. read more

Hogwarts Legacy is a prequel to the Harry Potter series, set in the late 1800s


Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to PCs and consoles in 2021, and it’s a sprawling, action RPG game set in the wizarding academy featured in the Harry Potter series. It was officially unveiled today at the PlayStation Showcase event with a trailer that showed off its open world elements, its detailed environments, and some of the creatures that inhabit the area surrounding (and beneath) the school. read more

PS5 Pre-Order Date Revealed



Today, PlayStation makers Sony Interactive Entertainment officially revealed the price of the PS5, giving PlayStation fans an idea of the starting cost of being at the start of a new console generation when the PS5 releases worldwide on November 12, two days after the Xbox Series X and Xbox One S release. At launch, the standard PS5 will cost $500, while the all-digital version of the console will only cost $400. Meanwhile, Sony has confirmed pre-orders — at participating retailers — will go live tomorrow. read more
