A surprising series may be making its return to the PlayStation: PaRappa the Rapper.
An application for a new game, simply titled PaRappa the Rapper, appeared on the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee‘s site earlier today. It’s submitted by Sony Interactive Entertainment Korea, though there’s very little other information—it’s unclear whether it’s a brand new game or a remake of the original, for one.
The timing is good for a return of PaRappa, who hasn’t gotten a new, non-remake game since PaRappa the Rapper 2 (which released in North America all the way back in 2002). This December, though, marks PaRappa’s 20th anniversary—the perfect time for a new game, or a revival of an older one.
On top of that, the PlayStation Experience kicks off soon. It’s the perfect time to announce new games, so if there is indeed a new PaRappa game on the way, this weekend’s event would provide a good platform. The PlayStation Experience runs from December 3rd to December 4th, so be sure to tune in for any announcements about PaRappa’s future.
