If there’s one thing that has been synonymous with WrestleMania over the past two-plus decades, it’s The Undertaker. The Phenom’s win streak at the annual WWE marquee event became stuff of legends, before it was finally snapped by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. Since then, the Taker was earned two more WrestleMania wins to bring his record to 23-1, and he will take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando on Sunday.
The biggest question in all of professional wrestling right now is not IF The Hardy Boyz will be returning to the WWE, but WHEN.
The Nintendo Switch is proving itself to be a great piece of gaming hardware — even if, at present, it’s really just an expensive Breath of the Wild machine — but things will only get better as more quality games are released. One way that Nintendo will really be able to fill out the Switch’s library is to make its Virtual Console service available on the system, as no other company has as impressive a back catalog as Nintendo’s. Once VC does make the jump to Switch, we’re sure to see the same assortment of NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 classic that have been made available on the Wii and Wii U but if the rumors are true, I’m definitely more excited by the prospect of downloading GameCube games on the Switch.
The Nintendo Switch may come with a dock, but getting a replacement doesn’t come cheap. With docks selling for $90 at retail, some Switch owners have come up with their own creative solutions, including one modder who decided to turn his Nintendo 64 into a fully-functional dock.
It is the most exciting time of the year for wrestling fans. WrestleMania typically marks the “season finale” for the year that was in WWE. There are always many twists and turns on the road to WrestleMania and this year is no different. Friendships tossed aside, disrespect for authority, injuries, title changes, and so much more has made up this crazy journey, and it is all about to come to an end.
Roman Reigns is a curiosity in today’s WWE. He has constantly (and we do mean constantly) been shoved down fan’s throats as “The Guy.” Actually, he literally tried to use that as his catch phrase for a while, before pivoting over to the “it’s my yard” schitck. Despite various ringside commentators pushing the idea that the fans are behind Reigns, anyone with a pulse and a working set of ears can hear that he is routinely booed at live events and on television.
If new leaked marketing materials are to be believed, the 2017 installment of Call of Duty being developed by Sledgehammer Games will be subtitled ‘WW2’, indicating that the franchise is set to return to its original era.
Records in pro wrestling are an interesting thing. First of all, most of them are exaggerated (or made up completely) in order to build hype and promote individuals. But if the record keepers at WrestlingData.com are correct, The Undertaker could reach another milestone at WrestleMania 33 that would be hard to top.
One of the most beloved PC games of all time is getting some modern upgrades.
Slowly but surely, the WWE continues to evolve. Of course, that is going to happen over time regardless of who’s in charge, but today’s WWE is definitely being shaped by one man more than anyone else — Triple H.
