Sony Executive Feels The Demand Is Still There For Single-Player Video Games

We’ve seen a trend lately within the video game industry. More game developers are aiming to provide an online multiplayer experience with support being provided through the means of passes and microtransactions. For instance, with the Call of Duty franchise there is normally a single-player campaign mixed with various online game modes for multiplayer but with the latest release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the development team dropped the single-player component completely.
