One of the more anticipated video game titles released this year is finally being enjoyed by fans all around the world. While it may have looked like the launch was going to be a bit rocky thanks to the coronavirus, instead, we’re all able to enjoy Final Fantasy 7 Remake, just as long as you have a PlayStation 4. With that said, we knew before the game released that this remake would not include the full game and instead Square Enix was going to deliver fans several parts over an undetermined time period.
Google has launched its latest Stadia Connect presentation, breaking down what’s coming to the platform in the near future and reminding you that, yes, you can now play Stadia for free. Stadia has two new games available today – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Octopath Traveler – EA has announced plans to bring several of its titles to the platform, and Google has revealed multiple new timed-exclusive games.

As much as I think Destiny 2‘s Guardian Games is a disappointing grind-o-rama, I must concede that the event’s merch is cool. For each of the three classes, Bungie are selling a little supporter’s pack with a scarf, a felt pennant, and an enamel pin. I don’t buy merch but even I will concede that’s pretty neat. Bungie are good at merch in general, and I do like how some if the fanciest items are locked behind in-game accomplishments or achievements. If you want to buy the t-shirt, you need to have been there and done that.
Away, Come Away is a new, seemingly simple Skyrim quest mod that adds some really cool weapons and female armour to the game, reminiscent of Senua’s in Hellblade or perhaps Aloy’s in Horizon Zero Dawn. The different pieces of gear each have neat properties of their own and are worth grabbing in their own right. But, disguised behind the armour mod is a short but epic quest that has you chase down a place from your dreams into the sky – and avenge a wronged warrior.
There’s been quite a bit of chatter about Valorant’s anti-cheat system, Vanguard, since the upcoming FPS game’s launch in closed beta. Developer Riot Games has previously posted information about why it runs at system boot, and now the studio’s let the community know about another upcoming update which is designed to “give you, the player, more visibility and control over it”.
