There’s a bit of controversy right now with PC gaming. Voices and opinions are being raised about the current state of online marketplaces. For a number of years now, the go-to the marketplace has been Valve’s Steam. It’s a service that I believe many of us are very familiarized by and likely already have installed on your personal computer. However, over the years, there have been some attempts to overthrow Valve’s Steam and sway gamers to a different online platform. The biggest right now being Epic Games Store.
We already just covered a video about this situation and we highly encourage you to check it out above. However, in the coming year, we have a few great Bethesda titles releasing that I’m sure most of you will be interested in picking up. Bethesda has its own launcher and you may have assumed that their upcoming video game releases will be exclusively available on the marketplace. Well, that’s not the case as Bethesda has recently taken to Twitter in order to alert their fan base that Steam will be holding their upcoming video game titles for anyone interested in playing with the popular launcher.
We’re pleased to announce that RAGE 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and DOOM Eternal will be released on Steam as well as https://t.co/p0BARqmTBp. We will also be bringing Fallout 76 to Steam later this year.

In the tweet, Bethesda confirmed that Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and lastly Doom Eternal will launch on Steam. However, their current big release which has been less of a hit online, Fallout 76, is not available on Steam. That will also change as apparently sometime later this year the video game title will be released on the marketplace.
At the very least, it looks like Bethesda is not interested in making their PC titles exclusive to their own launcher and it doesn’t appear that Epic Game Store can swoop in and acquire the IPs.
