The Call of Duty franchise has had its ups and downs with one of the popular series being the Modern Warfare trilogy. So far only three games are available as of right now and for fans of the franchise, all eyes are on what this year’s installment will be based on. In the past, we’ve heard that 2019 will hold a more modern release which has left gamers wondering if this may prove to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, but in reality, we won’t know until the game is finally unveiled to the public. However, a new rating discovered online may have leaked out an upcoming remastered for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
It was only a couple years ago that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a remastered edition release for current generation platforms. Originally the title was also bundled with a new title, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Perhaps this is exactly what’s being planned for 2019, though it’s unsure if this remastered edition release will be bundled with a game or if it will be available to purchase separately. Again, going off of the previous remastered, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was first released bundled with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, though it was later available as a standalone title.
This PEGI rating discovered has labeled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 2 as PEGI 18 or otherwise known as Mature here in the United States. Not a shocker, this game released with the same rating when it launched originally. Really the big surprise is the game itself as it was not previously teased or announced. So as of right now the big question on a lot of people’s minds is just when this game will come out and when we’ll get the next big announcement regarding the 2019 release of Call of Duty.
