Red Dead Redemption 2 Online launches tomorrow – only in beta, and only for certain players. It’s the start of rolling launch for the cowboy epic’s multiplayer component, and one that’ll be distributed based on how much money you’ve spent and how early you logged on for the first time. And yes, it also means we’re one step closer to Red Dead on PC.
Rainbow Six Siege Wind Bastion isn’t even out yet, and its operators are already getting nerfed. After a handful of days on test servers, Kaid and Nomad will both see their abilities knocked back a bit to bring them in line with other operators ahead of Wind Bastion’s launch. Fortnite’s most powerful shotguns are being revamped, as Legendary and Epic version of the Pump Shotgun are set to head to the game soon. The new weapons, which will work in exactly the same way as the current versions of the weapons, will come to the game in its next patch.
Whatever you think of Fallout 76, it’s fair to say that it hasn’t had the easiest launch window. Intel’s going to release another range of 14nm++++++++ CPUs next year and it’s going to have a 10-core processor with the codename of Intel Comet Lake… according to what will surely be viewed as the most trustworthy source of rumours. The news has come from a member on a Taiwanese tech forum who is suggesting Intel will be shipping a deca-core mainstream CPU next year.
Fallout 76 is basically an MMORPG based in the Fallout universe, offering players the experience to play with their friends online, build bases, complete quests, and all the basic Fallout features. However, the game still lacks many fundamental features to fully take advantage of the multiplayer concept Bethesda wants to implement. For example, when you group up in a four-player squad, there are certain missions that require each one to do the same objectives individually, beating the entire purpose of playing together.
Valve’s long-awaited Steam redesign is, if nothing else, something of an inevitability. The current client has done the job for several years, but is starting to show its age a little. That’s fine though, becuase we’ve known that the developer has been working on a new version of the storefront for a few years. Until now, however, we’ve only had one proper look at it.
