Evolve’s Dedicated Servers, Virtual Currency and Other Online Features Shutting Down by the End of September

Evolve, developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by 2K Games, originally released back in February 2015. However, it didn’t manage to maintain its fanbase for a considerable amount of time, which resulted in the game going free-to-play in July 2016. 2K Games officially announced they aren’t supporting the game anymore around six months later.

Now, the studio announced they are shutting down Evolve’s dedicated servers, in-game virtual currency store and several other online features. Starting from today, players won’t be able to buy any more virtual currency from the in-game story. On September 3rd, the dedicated servers and Evolve Stage 2 are officially gone.
