Originally revealed as EA Originals’ first title in the indie-supporting program, Fe is a unique puzzle game with a very special art design.
Game Director Andreas Beijer was recently featured in an interview with Wccftech where he praised the studio’s relationship with EA and how they helped them achieve their goals by providing the necessary resources without interfering in the studio’s original “artistic vision of the game.”
It has been amazing to have them onboard actually. I understand it might sound like I’m paid to say this but that’s the honest truth. They have provided so much help without meddling with the artistic vision of the game and it has been fantastic for us to be able to use their experience and knowledge of making and publishing games.
He continued to discuss how long it will take on average players to complete Fe’s main quest, and around 7 to 8 hours looks to be enough.
If you were set on just completing the ‘main quest’ I would think perhaps [it would last] about 7-8 hours. Then you are free to roam around and find all the secrets and that really depends on the player how much time that takes. It’s hard to say really. I’m thinking of the world of Fe as big enough to get lost in but small enough to get to know it all.
For those of you who don’t know the title, here is a brief description:
In Fe, players will be enchanted by the natural surroundings as they uncover secrets, complete side quests, and meet the mystical creatures of the forest. Players will climb, glide and dig as they voyage through the open experience meeting, interacting and rescuing plants and animals from the Silent Ones, the machine antagonists that are threatening the forest. Through unparalleled freedom of exploration in a world full of discoveries to uncover, players will become Fe and never want to leave.
