Is Capcom Teasing Resident Evil 3 Remake In Project Resistance?

Resident Evil has been an immensely popular survival-horror video game franchise that has even help chart out a pathway for other developers to craft inspired games. Over the years there have been some new innovations and gameplay to help bring new a new fresh look. Not all video game titles released under the franchise name have been iconic hitters that Capcom had hoped for but that won’t stop them from delivering a new look at the series. The latest upcoming installment is a new look at the franchise gameplay called Project Resistance.

Project Resistance is a 4v1 game where a team of players must complete objectives while the opposing player lays down traps and creatures in the rooms ahead. It’s often compared to the video game Dead by Daylight in terms of its gameplay and lately, some players have been trying out the beta. Not only are gameplay footage releasing into the masses from the beta, but there is a discovery that has left plenty of speculation that perhaps this game may be hinting at a new Resident Evil remake.

It seems that in the beta players can at times trigger a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis soundtrack. Specifically, it seems to be the save room music that is played in the game, but that lone song has players wondering if Capcom is developing a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake. Before the official unveiling of Project Resistance, there was speculation going around the web that maybe the upcoming title would be a game remake.

After all, Capcom has had plenty of success when remaking the original Resident Evil title along with the latest launch of Resident Evil 2. With fans rejoicing that the development studio going back to its survival-horror roots, perhaps Project Resistance is a small break before bringing back another remake or a new mainline installment.
