Outlast Franchise Sells 15 Million Copies; Red Barrels Teases Next Game

Since it’s debut back in 2014, the survival horror title, Outlast and all its additions (as well as the sequel) have managed to bring in 15 million total copies sold. This has also landed the company about $64 million in revenue from the sales according to GamesIndustry.  It’s a pretty insane number considering the survival horror genre seems to get a lot less attention due to the niche appeal. read more

You Will Be Able To Play Anthem Solo

In the current state of gaming, there has been a lot of contention amongst the community regarding the worth of single-player games. While single-player games still manage to rake in loads of cash (as seen with the recent releases God of War/ Super Mario Odyssey/ Horizon Zero Dawn ect) it seems that publishers continuously push the multiplayer aspect – maybe because it’s a way to monetize the audience even further, or maybe it manages to bring in more basic sales. Boss Key Productions Shuts Down

Following a massive string of poor timing, bad luck and (maybe?) over-confidence, Cliff Bleszinski studio, Boss Key Productions, has officially shut down. The news comes just a month after the studio announced the end of support for their flagship first-person shooter, Lawbreakers. read more
