Palains, Hi-Rez Studios’ hero-based shooter, originally released in September 2016, and now it is coming to Nintendo’s Switch console.
The studio were working with Nintendo over the past few months to make sure Paladins’ gameplay suits Nintendo’s handheld console. The development team even managed to run the game at 60 frames-per-second, with the help of “a custom in-house port of Unreal Engine 3.” Not only that, Paladins’ Nintendo Switch players will enjoy crossplay multiplayer between themselves and Xbox One players.
We’ve been working with Nintendo over the past few months to develop Paladins for the handheld, portable console – and it feels awesome. Paladins on Switch will run at 60 frames-per-second thanks to a custom in-house port of Unreal Engine 3, offering the full Paladins experience in both handheld and docked modes.
The Nintendo Switch version of Paladins will also feature crossplay multiplayer between Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players. Our community has asked for crossplay compatibility for a long time, so we’re thrilled to offer this brand-new feature that will enhance the Paladins experience for both players bases.
