Sid Shuman Director of Social Media at PlayStation took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that Sony will be holding their own Nintendo Direct-like Livestream to announce new things for the PS4 and PSVR.
The newly announced livestream will air on Monday, March 25 at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET. State of Play is said to give fans updates and new announcements for the PlayStation family including new game announcements, gameplay footage, and new trailers. This is very interesting, as this will be the first time Sony has ever done something along these lines.

Today, we’re introducing a new video program called State of Play, and the first episode kicks off Monday, March 25 at 2:00pm Pacific Time.
State of Play will give you updates and announcements from the world of PlayStation. Our first episode will showcase upcoming PS4 and PS VR software, including new trailers, new game announcements and new gameplay footage.
The day of big conventions like E3 and gamescom are coming to an end it seems. More and more companies are looking to turn to their own separate reveal event like this new Sony State of Play show. We will have to wait and see what the big time publisher has to announce next week.
