So what is a VPN? – A virtual private network, or VPN, is an encrypted connection over the Internet from a device to a network. The encrypted connection helps ensure that sensitive data is safely transmitted. It prevents unauthorized people from eavesdropping on the traffic and allows the user to conduct work remotely.
As if having a built in dark mode wasn’t enough surf shark has a sloom of other options that just make you say WOW. On top of their prices (Which are competitively some of the best in the VPN market) they have over 60 countries and over 1040 servers to choose for connection! Just these three things alone are the tip of the iceberg. I will list all of their features in bullet form below then we will go over the ones that sold me and helped me decide to become a surfshark user.
Clean Web – Surf in a clean cyber ocean with no ads, trackers, malware and phishing attempts.
Unlimited devices – Connect & use all your family devices simultaneously. You can protect as many devices as you’d like at once.
Whitelister – Allow specific apps & websites to bypass the VPN. Works great with mobile banking apps.
Strict no log policy – We don’t monitor, track, or store what you do online. That means no connection or activity logs.
kill switch – It’s a safety net in case your VPN connection drops. Your activities and sensitive data are never exposed.
Private DNS & leak protection – With private DNS on each server and leak protection when using IPv4 stack, we take our security to the next level.
Camouflage Mode – Camouflage Mode makes sure that even your internet provider can’t tell that you’re using a VPN. Stay private, always.
Multi Hop – Connect via multiple countries at once to take ID protection & footprint masking to a whole other level.
noborders mode – Internet should be open to everyone. This mode allows to successfully use Surfshark in restrictive regions.
Hide Your IP – Protect your privacy by hiding your real IP address that can be connected to your digital identity.
encryption – We guard your personal data by using industry-leading AES-256-GCM encryption.
Secure Protocalls – IKEv2/IPsec is a default protocol on all of our apps. If you prefer, you can still select to use OpenVPN.
Now i know that is ALOT to take in and if you want to read about every little detail for features they have to offer you can do so here https://surfshark.com/features
I will however be going over some of the features that really wow’d me and sold me as a current customer and member of the surfshark community.
Lets start with the ones that require no attention from you at all because they just start running the second you connect.
Clean web blocks ads and malicious websites automatically, it stops intrusive pop up ads, disregards suspicious links, prevents phishing attempts and prevents random ads from using up all of your mobile data. I can say first hand from using their services that this really does work and really comes in handy for those sites that are saturated with ads. This provides a simple and safe way to block them. Another feature that i will tie in with this one is the ability to connect unlimited devices This is something that you don’t always see in the VPN world. You are usually limited to 5 or so devices that you can actually use with your plan. That is something you need not worry about with surfshark, they even have detailed descriptions on how to connect their VPN to any of the devices you want to use it on including, fire sticks, playstations, xboxes, and many more!
Not only does surf shark have a strict no log policy it has various other procedures and features that ensure the safety of your information while you are using their program. Lets start with the fact that you can white list any program or website that you want to not be accessed from the VPN. So lets say you are browsing the web with the VPN active but you don’t want your spotify to use the VPN’S connection you can whitelist it. Same goes for websites! On top of that of that there is this nifty kill-switch feature, If your VPN connection drops unexpectedly, Kill Switch disconnects you from the internet, safeguarding your privacy. This means having KillSwitch enabled ensures that your connection stays encrypted. Multi hop is another great feature that really helps ensure your privacy it allows you to connect to two different VPN servers adding an extra layer of security! . Most of the time, these are located in different countries. As an example, make your VPN connection even more secure and private by connecting through Canada and Germany, instead of just a Canadian server. And finally Camouflage Mode makes sure that even your internet provider can’t tell that you’re using a VPN. Stay private, always.
I have to tell you guys that I’ve used a few different VPN’S over the year and none of them made me feel as secure as SurfShark does. With multiple features in place having it active just puts me at ease when i’m surfing the internet weather it be at home or on a public network. In times like these where more and more people are having to work from home due to this virus outbreak There has never been a higher need for you to have a layer of protection backing you and your data, and after all that we discussed here you now know that with SurfShark you dont just end up with one layer of protection you end up with multiple!
After looking at this chart it’s quite easy to see that you are well getting your moneys worth with SurfShark. And when it comes to money… Well i would say that this is one of the most affordable ones on the market today. You can wind up getting this VPN and all of its features for 1.99 a month if you pay in 24 month increments! That’s an incredible deal in my book!
If there is anything else you need to know or want to know about this program and its services you can head over to their website and read all about it! And if you have any questions you can always contact their 24/7 customer service!
