Destroy All Humans is the latest series in line for revival by THQ Nordic. A full Unreal Engine 4 remake of the 2005 original is on the way in time for the game’s 15th anniversary, and it will mark the PC debut for the series. And yes, in case you were wondering, that does include a release on Steam.
A new Destroy All Humans (alongside Darksiders Genesis) was leaked a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s rounding out THQ Nordic’s trilogy of pre-E3 announcements. A CG announcement trailer went live earlier this morning, and now the game’s Steam page is up with plenty of new screenshots and gameplay info.
You’re still a little alien named Crypto wreaking havoc in Communist-fearing 1950s America, making use of ridiculous guns and psychic powers to do very bad things to the human race. Besides the visual improvements, this remake will up Crypto’s agility, let him use psychic powers alongside guns, and will expand psychokinesis with all the wonders possible in a modern physics engine.
The remake is in development at THQ Nordic subsidiary Black Forest Games, whose most recent projects have been Fade to Silence and Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, both launched in 2017. Neither of those titles offer much of a pedigree, but hey, it’s a whole new project.
You can get a sense of the flavour in the trailer above.

Pre-orders are not yet live on Steam, but early purchase options for the console editions suggest a slightly budget price of $39.99 USD. The game will be available sometime in 2020.
