A few days earlier, Dwayne “The Rock’ Johnson wrote a fairly impassioned post on Facebook which implied that he had some massive beefs with his male co-stars in Fast 8, which just wrapped up shooting. Later, it was revealed that The Rock might have issues with the franchise’s star, Vin Diesel, which were not resolved when filming finished. Well, today The Rock walked back his harsh words, posting the following on Instagram, which comes with a video from the set:
In case you can’t read all that (we know, the text on Instagram is really small), here’s the pertinent passage:
“You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team – that’s a family – there’s gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world.”
On the bright side, even if there is no real issue between The Rock and Vin, the possibility still exists that we could see the two face off at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando in some sort of promotional move. Hell, they gave Rock a flamethrower this year, you think he couldn’t swing a scenario where he gets to race a car into the Citrus Bowl?
