Starting from today, those who own Nintendo Switches can now use My Nintendo Gold Points when purchasing digital games on the hybrid console.
Gold points is basically a cashback incentive for when you purchase a game. How it works is that you’ll receive 5% back on digital purchases and 1% back on games bought physically. Gold points will be applied on checkout on the eShop or on Nintendo’s website. 1 Gold Point amounts to 1 cent. So, if you pay $59.99 for a game on the eShop, you’ll earn 300 Gold Points, which can be $3.00 towards your next purchase.
Here’s how it’s going to work:
I mean sure, the discounts aren’t massive, but it’s still a decent incentive from Nintendo to give a little discount on new purchases or, essentially, a free cheaper game.

A few days ago, the Blizzard Twitter account posted a short video that displayed a Diablo themed night lamp being switched on and off. Topped off with a “Sweet Dreams” caption, it was more than enough speculative fuel for some readers, who jumped to the hopeful conclusion that a Diablo III Switch port was on the say.’
