November 4, 2020 The devs have revised the storage recommendations for the Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War system requirements.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War system requirements now here in full, after an early reveal in time for the beta. At a basic level, They’re going to look pretty familiar compared against the Modern Warfare system requirements, so if you’ve already been playing the previous game, you should be fine here. But the devs have detailed specifics for loads more configurations this time around.
After some early concern over the Cold War file size, the devs have cut their storage recommendations in half. Now they say you’ll need just 35GB for a multiplayer-only install, 82GB for a standard install, and 125GB if you want to play with the high-res textures. The option to uninstall unwanted Cold War modes is still much-appreciated, of course.
The specs to get running at 60fps on medium settings are pretty moderate. Cold War will scale back to an i5 2500k or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X paired with a GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1660 Super or Radeon R9 390 / RX 580 for a solid frame rate, though if you’re on a true potato, the game will run on even worse hardware.
