Atlus revealed a new trailer for Catherine: Full Body on Switch at NGPX today and it gives us our first real look at the title running on Nintendo’s hybrid console. I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with the results here. It basically looks like a sharper PS3 port, which is excellent for a handheld system.
I really shouldn’t be that surprised considering Full Body released on the Vita in Japan, but it’s still nice to know that this Switch port isn’t an afterthought. Atlus seems to have put some serious effort into making this a great way to experience Vincent’s nightmarish struggle.
As a reminder, the Switch port of Full Body includes a few extras in the form of “Ideal Voice” sets that can be used in-game. These include lines recorded by actresses famous for their work in the Persona series (the developer of which created Catherine). You’ll also be able to make use of split joy-con play to challenge a friend to versus mode on the go.
The game will be available on July 7, 2020, for $49.99. A physical edition will come with a sheep keychain, not to mention the game on a cartridge for you to play whenever. It’s nice to not have to download anything extra.
