Can’t wait for Honkai: Star Rail to launch? While we don’t have a release date as of yet, there is one way to play the game – by becoming a beta tester. The cool part is that you’ll get a chance to directly give feedback to the developers and help smooth out and create the perfect galactic adventure for everyone. If you’re interested, then the Galaxy Explorer Program is made for you.

This isn’t the same as just signing up for a closed beta test and then giving feedback. As a member of the Galaxy Explorer Program, you will sign up as a long-term beta tester and will gain access to small-scale confidential beta tests. Different versions of the game will have different objectives that need to be tested and participants will be recruited to experiment with these builds, keeping certain goals in mind.
The most important factor to keep in mind is that Honkai: Star Rail is still under development and any content experienced must be kept completely confidential. You can under no circumstances share any screenshots, videos, or livestream the game. Everyone who is recruited into the program will have to sign the Testing Service Agreement that will delve more into the confidentiality.
If you aren’t too familiar with the game, Honkai: Star Rail is part of the Honkai Series created by Hoyoverse, best known for developing Genshin Impact. It’s supposed to be an open-world, turn-based JRPG, featuring characters that have appeared previously alongside newer ones. It will have a completely different story compared to its predecessor Honkai Impact 3rd.
If you are interested in enrolling on the Galaxy Explorer Program, you can do so on the HoYoLAB website. There is no deadline to fill in the survey, but everyone signing up before March 14th will get an opportunity to participate in the latest small-scale test.
