In just about two weeks since launch, NetEase Games’ survival shooter has reached over one million downloads on mobile. The game already finds itself in the top 10 free games list in multiple countries. The developers are already expanding the available content with Lost Light’s first content update that features a new skin lineup, combat system, and in-game events.
Lost Light’s primary update makes the weather system even more detailed and immersive with the new monsoon conditions. Battling in a dark forest already posed a challenge, and things will now be more difficult as players must also deal with an unforgiving climate, ranging from showers to torrential downpours and even thunderstorms.
A new set of Firearm skins will also join Lost Light. These outfits include exclusive customization options and the ability to test more weapon mods. Additionally, certain skins are returning. To help with the rainy conditions in the forest, the Jungle Elite skins will be available to camouflage, while the Hot Skin comes back to make stealth operations in the Exclusion Zone easier. Both these skins will only be available for a limited time.
The update also introduces a new Dog Tag Collector Competition. This feature challenges players to defeat opponents and gather points, which gives them a shot at earning a premium membership. For killing a Firefly, five points are awarded, two for a Raymond Squad member and one point for every Marauder. Players will also get one point for every dog tag they successfully manage to take out of the battlefield.
And to top it off, even Mount Akimaya receives some updates. The map has been expanded and filled with more supplies that can be salvaged. As they scour this massive region, they will find a tonne of resources to build their stronghold in his desolate world.
Begin your battle in these stormy conditions by downloading Lost Light now for free.
