Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater release date may have been leaked

GameStop apparently posted the “classified intel” and quickly deleted it.

Yesterday, a short post appeared on GameStop’s Twitter (or X) account, allegedly revealing the Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater release date and encouraging fans to secure pre-orders.

As a reminder, the game was recently shown at the Xbox Games Showcase, where we saw a new MGS Delta trailer featuring Snake in a stylish crocodile cap, along with updated visuals and new features. However, no release date was mentioned during the event, suggesting that we’ll have to wait at least until 2025 to play the remake.

Did GameStop leak the MGS Delta: Snake Eater release date?

As can be seen on the screenshot below (credits to the IGN team), the alleged MGS Delta Snake Eater release date would be November 17 this year. Well… that’s Sunday. On the other hand, it also marks the exact 20th anniversary of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 release on PlayStation 2.

It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, GameStop lists a placeholder date of December 31, 2025, and the aforementioned post has long since disappeared from X.

What do you think about the potential leak of the Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater release date? Does it seem plausible to you? Let us know in the comments!
