New Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond Brings Democratic Detonation Next Week

A new Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond has been announced, and it’s deploying next week, offering up a ton of new gear to unlock.

Arrowhead is promising “explosive weapons, fierce armor, super-slick capes and sweet emotes” for your Helldiver, so if you’ve already unlocked everything from Cutting Edge (or even if you haven’t), then you’re in for a treat.

First up, three new weapons are being added as part of this Warbond, starting with the BR-14 Adjudicator, an assault rifle with armor penetration and high accuracy.

Helldivers 2 will have some new goodies to play with soon.

The next weapon you’ll be able to unlock is the R-36 Eruptor rifle, a bolt-action weapon with shells that explode on impact. Better steer clear of the blast radius for this one.

Finally, you’ll get a chance to unlock the CB-9 Exploding Crossbow, which does exactly what it says on the tin; it fires exploding bolts that “dish out max damage upon direct impact”, but be sure to account for gravity when firing.

Two new secondary weapons are being added: the G-123 Thermite Grenade and the GP-31 Grenade Pistol, which, as the name suggests, is a pistol that fires grenades. What’s not to love?

Democratic Detonation also includes an Expert Extraction Pilot booster, which shortens the amount of time it takes for the pilot to reach the landing pad when you’re being extracted after a mission.

One piece of each type of armor is included in the new Helldivers 2 Warbond: the CE-07 Demolition Specialist light armor, the CE-27 Ground Breaker medium armor, and the FS-55 Devastator heavy armor.

All of this is, of course, in addition to several sweet new capes that you can use to advertise just how much you love Managed Democracy while you’re blasting bugs or bots.

Democratic Detonation arrives in Helldivers 2 on April 11th. The game is available now for PC and PS5, and you can read our review of it right here.
