Mutants: Genesis is a collectible card battler that will release on iOS and Android later in May

  • Mutants: Genesis is an upcoming card battler on iOS and Android
  • Step foot into the role of Psycog
  • Set to release on May 20th

After two years in early access, Mutants: Genesis is finally stepping into the spotlight with a full launch set for later this month on PC, iOS, and Android. Developed by Celsius Online, this isn’t your usual card battler. It’s a competitive, animated spectacle where your deck doesn’t just hit the board – it comes alive on it.

Set in a corporate-dominated future where everything is up for conquest, Mutants: Genesis puts you in the role of a Psycog, combat strategist, mutant handler, and arena tactician all rolled into one.  Your mission is to build a deck, summon genetically modified mutants, and dominate through sheer strategy and evolution.

Each card transforms into a 3D creature right on the field, making every battle feel like a mini arena brawl straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster. The full release brings over 200 cards across six gene types, each with a distinct playstyle and synergistic potential. That means you’re not just building a deck – you’re crafting a mutant war machine.

Some lean into brute strength, others into disruptive control or speed, but all can be fine-tuned for the way you want to play. Whether you’re testing combos in solo missions, jumping into three-player PvE, or climbing the ranks in PvP, the flow between modes is seamless and pretty slick.

Looking for something while you wait? Here’s a list of the best card battlers to play on iOS right now!

There’s also a solid campaign packed with lore and missions that expand as the live content evolves. Thanks to full cross-progression and platform optimisation, you can swap between Steam Deck, phone, and tablet without losing progress.

Mutants: Genesis will release on iOS, Android, and Steam on May 20th. If it sounds like something up your alley, pre-register by clicking on your preferred link below. It is free-to-play with in-app purchases. Visit the official website for more information.
