Sloclap’s creative 5v5 online multiplayer take on soccer has seen its fan base swell since being announced late last year.
Those of you who are into sports games may well have heard of Rematch, the upcoming soccer/football title from Sloclap.
Anyone who’s played the developer’s most recent release, SIFU, will know that they’re adept at taking a genre and putting their own spin on it. In SIFU, every death aged your character, leaving you stronger, but weaker.
With Rematch, instead of playing as an entire team — think EA Sports FC, Madden, MLB The Show etc. — you’ll take control of a single player in 5v5 multiplayer soccer matches, where teamwork, timing, and extravagant skill-based moves are the name of the game.
The team recently held a closed beta, ahead of the game’s full release on June 19. And though that’s now over, the good news is they’ve just announced a second beta test for May 28-30, and it’ll be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

How to play the next REMATCH beta
There are a couple of ways to access the next Rematch open beta, and you can try both to double your chances!
The first is by heading to the game on Steam (click the link below) and hitting the ‘request access’ button under ‘Join the REMATCH Playtest’ near the top of the page.
Rematch beta invites are also being sent out to people who sign up to the game’s newsletter. The link can be found below.
Of course, there’s no guarantee you’ll be granted access — but by trying both approaches, you’re giving yourself the best chance!
