Set on a futuristic Earth that has fallen under the control of deadly machines, during a period described by the developers as the ‘post-post-apocalypse’, ARC Raiders looks set to be one of this year’s gaming success, especially if the positivity surrounding its technical tests earlier this year are anything to go by.
A multiplayer extraction adventure, you’ll take on the role of a Raider, someone who enlists to go ‘topside’ to scavenge for resources and stave off all-out extinction for dwindling human race, which has been forced underground.
Of course, once you’re up there, ARC — the mechanized threat now in control of the surface — will be hunting, looking to take you out. And if they don’t, rival Raiders might.

When is the ARC Raiders release date?
After first being teased ahead of The Game Awards 2021, and following a genre change and a couple of delays, we’ll finally be able to go topside when ARC Raiders release date of October 30 rolls around.
Following on from an earlier technical test, depending on when you’re reading this, you might also be able to jump into the final hands-on before launch, with the ARC Raiders Server Slam in the middle of the month, which is open to all, across PC and consoles.
