Now out of beta, the feature introduces new ways to enjoy your PS5 games, even without the console.
Sony has announced that the PS Portal will receive a major update on November 5 at 6 PM PT / November 6 at 2 AM GMT (so later today or early tomorrow, depending on your region), finally introducing Cloud Streaming for PS5 games after nearly a year of beta testing the feature.
This means players will be able to enjoy select titles from their library without needing to download them or power on their PS5 console.
So what’s the catch? The feature is exclusive to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.
Cloud Stream digital PS5 games to PS Portal
At launch, over 2,000 games will support PS5 Cloud Streaming, including select titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and the Classics Catalog.
Naturally, this also applies to digital games you already own, provided they’re streamable. The full list is available on PlayStation’s official website and includes titles such as Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Ghost of Yōtei.
There’s even more coming to the Portal with this update. The device now supports 3D Audio while using Remote Play and Cloud Streaming, adds new accessibility options, and enables in-game purchases during streaming sessions.
Current PS Plus Premium Prices
If you’d like to become a PlayStation Plus Premium member, you can check the current prices in the widgets below. A one-month subscription costs $17.99, and while there aren’t any discounts available right now, you can use cheap PSN gift cards to lower the price a bit.
