Dusk of Dragons: Survivors from Portugal-based indie studio Coregames has proven to be a well-received release, surpassing over 500,000 downloads on Google Play alone. And now the studio has announced that June 19th will see this fantasy RPG receive its largest update yet with the aptly-named Summer Vibes.
What’s included? Well, to start, you’ll be able to use the new Elemental Contract to make friends and ally with the titular dragons. Growth Challenges will give you the chance to level up and take on limited-time missions with high rewards, and a new cross-server Raid in the form of the Space-Time Battlefield poses a cosmic challenge with rare loot and auction rights on the line.
But wait, there’s more! There’s the introduction of the new Cryo dragon, the Bounty Team system that lets you put a price on your enemy’s heads, Recharge Rewards, Camp Activity, Daily Sign-in events and a Summer Sale too!
Survive the winter
For many indie studios, supporting a long-term release like Dragon Survivors can be a challenge all of its own, let alone adding more over time. But it seems Coregames are dedicated to making this a success if this bevvy of new features is anything to go by.
I’m particularly intrigued by the addition of the Bounty System. While it may seem odd to add something that intentionally antagonises other players, I’m sure many of you enjoy the idea of having your own in-game nemesis to torment (and be tormented by) as you try and survive.
