Assemble up to three friends and try this co-op game out—without reaching for your wallet. Expect arcade action, vibrant biomes, and powerful bossess.
The colorful shooter Arcadegeddon has switched to a free-to-play model. IllFonic’s shooter is now available at no cost on PC (Steam, Epic) and consoles (Xbox, PlayStation).
The game follows Gilly, an arcade owner whose establishment is under threat from a cyberattack launched by an evil corporation. What ensues is co-op chaos with roguelike elements.
While Arcadegeddon has earned mostly positive reviews on Steam, recent feedback has been more mixed. Some players are concerned that the developers abandoned the project before transitioning to free-to-play, offering little compensation to those who had already purchased the game—aside from a set of items. That said, the creators mentioned in their latest update that they’ve added new weapons, cosmetics, and various gameplay improvements.
