The Expedition began its explorations yesterday, April 24, to thunderous applause from both critics (92 Metascore) and gamers alike. As of this writing, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has hit a peak of 71,225 concurrent players on Steam—impressive, especially considering it’s available on Game Pass and had to share the spotlight with Oblivion Remastered. Plus, it will likely soar even higher during the weekend.
That’s great, but it’s also not the end of good news. The developers at Sandfall Interactive have announced that Clair Obscur has already surpassed 500,000 copies sold! This result was shared in a tweet, accompanied by the comment: “A milestone for us, reached sooner than we’d ever imagined”—along with a thank-you note from the team.
