Like many of us here i am sure we have all been excited to dive into the fallout 4 mod known as Fallout London essentially making it a entirely new game.. However last night upon diving into a stream my game would crash right after the train would go into the tunnel.
NOTE I AM PLAYING ON THE GOG VERSION NOT SURE IF THIS WORKS ON THE STEAM ONE BUT ITS WORTH A TRY.
Today i did a couple things that wound up getting me past said tunnel. Now how far will it go before it crashes again who knows. This only got me that far and i was so excited i decided to come here and share what i did.
First things first i followed a guide from vg247 on putting a mod into the game i will put the guide below.
- Go to NexusMods and download Buffout 4 (you only need the single Buffout 4 file, Fallout: London already has the others it needs installed)
- Extract the Zip file of Buffout 4 and open the uncompressed folder, where you’ll find a folder called “F4SE”
- Open a new File Explorer window and open where you have Fallout 4 installed – for me it was “This PC” – “Windows (C:)” – “Program Files (x86)” – “GOG Galaxy” – “Games” – “Fallout 4 GOTY” (for Steam it’s in “Steam” – “steamapps” – “common”)
- Now click into the “Data” folder of Fallout 4, where you will find another folder called “F4SE”
- Drag the F4SE folder from the Buffout 4 window to the F4SE folder in the Fallout 4 window to move the files over
- Next, back out into the Fallout 4 folder and look for “f4se_loader” and run it
- This should launch Fallout: London without as many crashes
Now this alone did not fix my issue. What i had to wind up doing was going into the folder where i have fallout installed, and launching the fallout4launcher. in there i went into options and set the detail to medium and also clicked the boxes for windowed/border less. Hit OK the exit. After this still inside of your folder where you have fallout 4 installed click the f4se_loader and things should work from there!
