- Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is set to hold a new Spring 2025 Update livestream
- Although this will mainly recap info from an existing livestream
- But either way, we now know even more about the upcoming Ever Crisis Academy Event
It seems to be the season of the live stream, as many top releases are teasing major upcoming updates with video showcases. It’s no surprise, then, that Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is following suit with their own Spring 2025 update livestream on April 24th, although this one is set to recap an existing livestream (albeit one only available in Japanese).
Either way, this whole arrangement has given us our first major look at the upcoming Ever Crisis Academy event. Seemingly casting the familiar faces of Final Fantasy VII now as Japanese high-schoolers in an amusing parody of rom-com visual novels, you’ll see Cloud taking on the role of a delinquent, while Barrett’s arm-cannon gets turned into a massive fan, among other hilarious twists on existing characters.
The Ever Crisis Academy event is set to arrive on April 29th, and the upcoming live stream, arriving on April 24th, will give us another in-depth look at it.
Academic
Final Fantasy VII has likely never been more popular than it is now, with the history of the franchise also complemented by the highly popular remake series still being released by Square Enix. And while I’m sure some Western fans will find the visual novel-style event to be a little baffling, it’s nonetheless entertaining to see fan-favourite characters in a way we’ve never seen them before.
