PlayStation Store is teeming with discounts during the current May Savings sale, which features over 2,000 deals in total. One of them may be of particular interest to fans of Square’s flagship series: the Final Fantasy XVI price was slashed by half!
Last year’s PS5 exclusive (which should receive a PC port this year) divided the fanbase; some gamers were in awe of its epic scale, marveled at the story, and excitedly mashed the controller’s buttons during frenetic battles. However, others voiced complaints about pacing, performance issues, boring side quests (no more garlic, please!), and the simplicity of FFXVI’s mechanics.
While the game isn’t perfect, it does tell an engaging story—a pretty dark one, too.
