Fortnite Crew will join the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription starting November 18, and the game is also moving into ‘Play Anywhere’ territory.
Hey, man, let’s play some Fortnite…
To some, this might sound like the most embarrassing nightmare possible; to others, it’s probably the very definition of online fun.
If you’re in that second camp, Microsoft has some good news for you. Fortnite is becoming an Xbox Play Anywhere game on November 18, which means… well, what exactly?
Fortnite Play Anywhere support set for Nov 18
Long story short, Fortnite, currently available exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PC, will appear on the PC Xbox app this Tuesday, joining the ranks of Xbox Play Anywhere titles.
This means that your progress will naturally carry over across time, space, and platforms, including ‘Xbox consoles, PC, and supported gaming handhelds.’ So if you play on multiple devices, everything will stay in sync.
Additionally, Fortnite Crew is coming as a new perk for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members on the very same day. This isn’t exactly ‘latest news,’ but rather a reminder; Microsoft originally announced it when introducing the new tiers and price changes for XGP last month.
Crew is also available as a standalone subscription for $11.99 per month.
What are the Fortnite Crew rewards?
Curious what’s included in Fortnite Crew? A bunch of monthly rewards that even extend to Rocket League. The full contents, as listed by Xbox Wire, look like this:
- Fortnite Crew Pack
- Battle Pass
- OG Pass
- LEGO Pass
- Music Pass
- 1,000 V-Bucks
- Rocket Pass Premium
If you’d like to start an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership to get these perks, here are the current offers for this tier. Naturally, Fortnite itself remains free-to-play.
