Square’s reimagined classic, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox on PC next year. Today, the company released a demo, allowing everyone to test how it fares on these platforms.
This demo covers the first chapter in its entirety, letting you complete the mission at the Mako Reactor. You can also keep your save data, as progress will carry over to the full game, earning you a small reward for playing the demo in the form of bonus items: Revival Earrings and a Survival Set.

How to play the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo
To play the demo, simply download it from either the Nintendo eShop or the Xbox Store; you’ll find links to both below.
The Xbox version offers Play Anywhere support, so you can also grab it via the Xbox app on PC.
Preorder FF7 Remake Intergrade on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox
If you end up enjoying the demo, both the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox editions of FF7 Remake Intergrade release on January 22, 2026, and are currently priced at $39.99.
Players who preorder the digital version will receive a bonus in the form of the original Final Fantasy VII. It will be available to Xbox players immediately after pre-purchasing and starting January 22 on Switch 2.
