Free Fire, Garena’s popular mobile battle royale continues its global esports run with a $1 million prize pool on the line as it heads back to Riyadh for the Esports World Cup 2025. The smash hit returns as part of a multi-year partnership with EWC, ensuring fans can look forward to another showing in 2026 as well.
But first, all eyes are on this summer, where 18 of the world’s best Free Fire squads will fight for a share of the $1 million prize pool. The tournament takes place from July 16th to 20th, beginning with a group stage split into three groups of six.
The top twelve move forward to the Point-Rush stage before entering the Grand Final, which uses the match point format to crown a champion. A $10,000 MVP bonus is also on offer for the best individual performance throughout the tournament.
If you were part of the action last year, Team Falcons are back after a stunning run in 2024, where they became the first Free Fire champions at the Esports World Cup. Despite a slow start in Point-Rush, they came alive when it mattered most. With two clutch Booyahs in the finals, they walked away with the trophy and a ticket to the World Series in Rio.
