MiHoYo are definitely no strangers to collaborations, no matter how out there they may be. But with their latest announcement, it’s definitely a new epoch, as Genshin Impact is set to team up with luxury fashion brand Charlotte Tilbury. All this, and Version 5.6 set to arrive on May 7th!
To start, what can we expect from the upcoming Version 5.6 release? Well, for a few brief highlights, there’s a new Archon Quest which sees an interlude chapter that’ll take you to Mondstadt, where you’ll join Albedo in facing a difficult trial and a monstrous invasion. You’ll also see appearances from fan-favourites Venti, Lady Alice and Dahlia during the story.
There are also two new characters to recruit, the five-star Escoffier, whose name is a reference to the famous chef, and similarly wields culinary-style skills in battle. Meanwhile, four-star Ifa is a sauro-vet who flies into battle with the help of his saurian sidekick Cacucu.
Even fancier
All of these are interesting new additions, but you’re likely wondering what that aforementioned Charlotte Tilbury collaboration is about. Starting April 30th, two co-branded beauty boxes will be made available featuring limited-edition Gesnhin merchandise themed around the fan-favourite character Mona.
Naturally, to complement this, the boxes will also feature many of Charlotte Tilbury’s best-selling products, and will be available in over 35 countries and regions. This collaboration is certainly an interesting example of a mainstream brand crossing over with a gaming franchise.
